Sport 4

As soon as you fly the sport4 the main thing you feel is safety and stability, with an ability to float to the top of the stack without effort….. Accessible performance.
When designing the new Sport4 we started by asking Sport1,2,and 3 pilots what they needed most in the glider. Was it better glide or more speed or more safety or stability. By far what people appreciated in the Sport3 above all was the ‘easily accessible performance’. Already with the Sport3’s ‘auto thermalling’ handling we were on the right track. This gave pilots the ability to get a good sink rate out of the glider without working too hard and we have further developed this idea on the Sport4. This idea of easily accessible performance with an emphasis on sink rate is what we have worked most on in the design of the Sport4.

The Mustang is a performance wing that directly incorporates technology from the FR Race series and is tuned to give dynamic, agile handling. Lightweight, long lasting and with a very high level of performance for its class the Mustang is aimed at experienced pilots looking for a performance wing suitable for cross country flying, adventure flying and acrobatics.

Magic 4 (DHV 2-3)

High Performance glider
The answer for the success is quite simple. 3 rows of lines have significantly less drag then 4 rows – and this gives more performance. However to achieve good flight characteristics and safety with only 3 rows of lines is not straight forward, and this is why it has taken us 5 years of work to make the first production glider with 3 rows of lines. Getting a 3 line glider with good safety and handling as well as passing the DHV is not easy. During the development of the Magic3 we made several improvements to the sail shaping and structure of the wing to achieve the type of wing we were looking for.

Scenic 2 Tandum (DHV 1-2)

The idea behind the Scenic2 was to take the Scenic and improve it, modernising the wing and generally cleaning it up as well as making it lighter and giving it a more modern look.

The Scenic 2 is even better than the original Scenic with all the new technology that is built into the latest wings from the Airwave stable.

The Scenic 2 has a hybrid sail which makes the whole glider a full 1kg lighter, which obviousely makes the launch even better, especially in light winds. Also Airwave used the newest materials available at the market for the Scenic2.

It’s fast, it’s fun, and it’s the latest boom sport to evolve from paragliding, and just like a paraglider a speed flying wing requires a specific design to reduce the risks and make it accessible to us all: the Skima does just that. By throwing all our paraglider design knowledge into the design of a speed flying wing we managed to overcome many of the problems that some of the current speed flying wings are suffering from. The result is a very user friendly wing in three sizes that is perfect whether you’re just learning the sport or someone looking to take the sport on to the next level.
